Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go. This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to meditate on it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. (Joshua 1:7–8 CSB)

The new year is here. This is when people make new year’s resolutions they break before January 31st.

I challenge you to decide this is the year it will be different. This will be the year of change. This year, you will start walking the path to success.

Joshua 1:7-8 contains God’s plan for success. God made it simple so that anyone can do it. God had it recorded in the book of Joshua so that it may be available to every believer.

The first thing you notice when you read God’s Plan for Success is it’s centered upon His Word. You can’t find genuine success outside of God’s Word.

God strictly instructs Joshua to not stray from obedience to His Word. Not even the slightest bit.

This plan for success worked for Joshua and works for you and me. God kept His plan for success easy with three simple steps.

  1. Meditate the Word.
  2. Speak the Word.
  3. Do the Word.

If you are looking for success this year, the passage in Joshua chapter one is just what you need. It will provide success in all areas of your life.

Make this year the turning point in your life. Start with God’s success plan. Change your life forever.

Prayer

Father, I thank you for the plan you have for my life. This year, I will do whatever is necessary for that plan to come to pass. I will follow your proven Plan for Success. I want my life to be a beacon of light in this world. As I succeed, I will give you all the honor, glory, and praise. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I do not capitalize the name “satan” in my writing. He neither deserves the honor or respect that entails.
