Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14 CSB)
A little over a month ago, the doctor diagnosed me with some very serious diseases in my eyes. I went to God according to John 16:23 and asked my Heavenly Father to give me directions on how to fight this battle. Along with precise directions, He also gave me two unusual verses to believe in concerning my eyes.
One of those verses was Luke 2:30-31, and the other was the above verse in Jeremiah 17:14. This verse in Jeremiah chapter 17 has caught my attention as I have meditated on it the last few weeks.
Many Christians, after receiving their healing, lose it later. Oh yes, they were definitely healed; proved by their being able to do something they couldn’t do before. Or even by a doctor’s exam and tests.
Yet, later, they had the same physical condition or disease come back on them. Why is this?
This happens because they allow satan to convince them their previous condition is back. They experience some symptoms and believe those symptoms over what the Word of God says about their healing.
For that reason, this verse in Jeremiah chapter 17 has exploded in my spirit. It tells me directly that when the Lord heals me; I am healed. I am to believe that over any symptoms or physical evidence that says otherwise.
How can we do this? By deciding to act on Second Corinthians 5:7:
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
To live out this verse, we must make the quality decision to believe God’s Word over anything our body or mind might say to us.
Take some time to meditate on Jeremiah 17:14. Let it grow in your spirit until it becomes a truth for you. Place God’s Word above your five physical senses.
Decide for yourself, when the Lord heals me, I am healed; now and forever. I believe it and that settles it.
Prayer
Father, I thank you because you are my Great Physician. Doctors can only diagnose and assist in my healing. You are the Only True Healer. I know that when you heal me, I am healed. I will disregard any symptoms that say otherwise; because they are only lies. It is your Word that is the truth. Thank you again, Lord, for being my Healer.
