Did you know the Bible describes distinct levels of faith? Therefore, it is important for us to know how to level up our faith. This is what Paul complimented the church at Thessaloniki for.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other. (2 Thessalonians 1:3 NKJV)
Our faith must grow. Every spiritual aspect of our life is growing or shrinking. There is nothing stagnant in the spiritual world. I identify the distinct levels of faith in a table in this article.

We need to realize spiritual growth is a step-by-step process. Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, “We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 CSB)
“From glory to glory.” I like that description of spiritual growth. Our spiritual growth starts with faith. Peter makes this clear in his second letter.
“For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with…” (2 Peter 1:5 CSB)
This is important to realize. Faith is the foundation our spiritual growth is based upon. If you don’t have a solid foundation, when the first storm comes into your life, you collapse. Identifying the distinct levels of your faith will help you know where you need to build a more solid faith.
Our faith is not the same in every aspect of our life. You can have great faith for healing, but wavering faith for finances. Your faith may be strong in going to sleep and very weak concerning your children.
How do you know the weak points of your faith? Ask yourself this question: “What do I worry the most about?” This will be your weakest point of faith. Concentrate there first.
So, how do you build your faith? First, study the Word of God. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17 NKJV) Do you have a weak point in your faith? Do a topical study of scripture and find everything God says about that topic.
Second, pray in the spirit. “But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” (Jude 20 CSB) Praying in tongues will build your faith.
Last, you need to use your faith in every aspect of your life. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (1 Corinthians 5:7 CSB) It is much like a muscle in our body; the more you use it, the stronger it becomes.
Join me for the next few weeks as I go through the distinct levels of faith. As you read about them, you will find ways to level up your faith, step-by-step.

Prayer
Lord, I thank you for giving me your faith. Show me what I need to do to grow my faith. Holy Spirit let me know any time I am walking by my feelings instead of by my faith. I want to be led by you, Holy Spirit. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
